Swimming in the great lakes of the Aube
On the beach of Mesnil-st-Père it’s more of a farniente atmosphere. You can enjoy a swim in the famous Lac de la Forêt d’Orient, enjoy an ice cream along the harbour, play a game of beach volleyball or go for a pedal ridewith the Pédalos Capitaine Paul. Drop anchor for a swim as if alone in the world, or pedal for a stroll on the calm waters of the lake. To make your time at the Mesnil Saint Père beach a success, various facilities are at your disposal: barbecues, showers, toilets, car park… You can also enjoy of the “snacks” or restaurants on site, to eat or drink with your feet in the sand…
On the other side of the lake, the beach of Lusigny offers everything you need for your afternoon of sunbathing (except sun cream!). A beautiful place in the middle of the forest to enjoy a quiet, sporty or aquatic moment!
In Géraudotyou will find a sandy beach, which is also located on the shores of the Lac d’Orient. You will find a barbecue, playgrounds, sanitary facilities, showers in addition to the possibility of renting pedal boats and trendy bicycles to ride along the waterfront with Ora Aventure. You will also be able to enjoy the facilities on site to eat or drink. What a great way to spend an afternoon, right?
This time, departure for the beach of Dienville! A pleasant place to relax for the whole family, where you will find various activities to satisfy children and adults alike. Next on to the marina, where numerous facilities allow you to enjoy yourself while making the most of the superb setting offered by the Lac Amance with its fine sandy beach: bicycle hire, children’s play areas, table tennis, multi-sports ground, picnic tables, special barbecue area, beach volleyball court, petanque and even towed buoys… You will also find bars and restaurants on the port, with entertainment on summer evenings. A swim in the rivers of the Aube
The Seine and the Aube are real playgrounds for swimming enthusiasts. There are many small, secluded beaches along the rivers, ideal for cooling off and enjoying a quiet spot.
On the banks of the Seine, near Troyes, bring your picnic to enjoy a day on the beach of Verrièresand its spillway. In Chappes, in addition to the swimming facilities around the dam, you will find the canoe base. In Marnay-sur-Seine, the small beach is the meeting place for the villagers.
The Aube (the river!) is almost wilder than the Seine. The canoe trip offered by the Domaine Le Colombier is a real adventure out of time.
Swimming in the river is free and unsupervised, therefor at your own risk. It is advisable to wear water shoes and to keep children under supervision because of the currents.
Bathing in water bodies
The Paisy-Cosdon lake offers large green spaces for relaxation at the heart of the Pays d’Othe. The beach and its pontoon are a great pleasure for the children who use it to dive. During a family day you can enjoy a walk around the lake, an afternoon of swimming, a picnic, mini golf… A snack bar is open during the summer months. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, even on a leash.
