A new envelope for the Museum of the Resistance of the Aube

The Musée de la Résistance de l’Aube, located in the commune of Mussy-sur-Seine, initially recounts the history of the Mussy-Grancey maquis, also known as the Montcalm maquis. Unique in the Grand-East region, it is the only establishment labelled as a Musée Français portant sur la Résistance (French Museum on the Resistance). This modern setting enhances the value of its collections, which were built up by the Resistance fighters and their families. Before the summer, the museum will reopen its doors. The tour route is being revamped. The museography, punctuated by numerous digital devices, gives this place its functions of gathering and exchange. The museum is designed around the major phases in the creation of the first Resistance movements and networks in the Aube. You will be immersed in the daily life of the maquis, and will understand the consequences of such a commitment to the underground, leading to the liberation of Troyes and more globally, of France!
