The Aube region, rich in clay deposits, has been manufacturing terracotta products for a very long time. Since ancient times, humans have been firing clay to transform it into tiles, roof tiles, bricks, and pottery. In Soulaines-Dhuys, the Royer tile factory has maintained an old-fashioned manufacturing method that has been passed down for 5 generations. It is certified EPV (Living Heritage Company) and listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments. The team invites you to participate in pottery workshops to express your talent or simply to spend a pleasant time working with clay. Various options are available. Tours of the pottery are available by appointment. A half-day (3-hour) throwing workshop (for adults) is available by appointment for €70.
