“Histoire, Sport & Citoyenneté“ au Pavillon Henri IV de Nogent-sur-Seine |
From Saturday July 17 to Saturday August 31, 2024, every day from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., except Mondays and Tuesdays. After centuries of eclipse, the Olympic Games were symbolically reborn, in Greece, in 1896. Having become the first world event, they returned to Paris in 2024 for the 33rd Olympiad, a century after the first Games in Paris in 1924. Integrated into geopolitical contexts and social, the Olympic and Paralympic Games reflect each era and its changes, highlighting individual stories and civic values of athletes. A CASDEN exhibition traces this history and more than a century of sport in Nogent-sur-Seine, through the history of local associations and the exploits of Nogent medalists.
