Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3: ERVY LE CHÂTEL - Medieval Festival. Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to midnight and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 11th medieval festival. I wander through Ervy: what's going on? The St. Nicholas Gate and the streets are decorated with coats of arms and red and yellow banners, hams are cooking over a wood fire, gargoyles are moving... oh, but I hear medieval music... and there are troubadours entertaining passersby in the middle of a medieval market... and over here a crowd of young people captivated by the tale of Voirloup and the makeup artist. My attention is drawn to the rising sounds of the park and the Place du Berle: these are the medievalists' camps, relivening the Middle Ages. Rumor has it there will be a fire show. And there, are those birds of prey I hear? Yes, they are eager to show off their parade with their trainer. That's what the Ervy Medieval Festival is all about.
