Circuit découverte d'Ervy-le-Châtel, Petite Cité de Caractère |
On the borders of Champagne and Burgundy, Ervy le Châtel offers the discovery of the treasures of its built heritage through its medieval streets. The most original, its circular half-timbered hall, dating from 1836-1837 and its magnificent chestnut ceiling, a very beautiful work by a companion of duty. Its Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church (15th century) is a veritable museum of the 16th century Trojan School, remarkable for its statuary. The city also retains the only medieval gate still existing in Aube, the Porte Saint Nicolas (13th century). The Maison du Vitrail d'Armance, new in this city, welcomes the public to discover the history of stained glass, the windows of Ervy-le-Châtel and the Pays d'Armance as well as children for fun-educational workshops. The Maison du Vitrail d'Armance invites you to discover the emblematic places of Ervy-le-Châtel thanks to a visit on a digital tablet. 3 existing versions: adults, children and in English. The tablets can be rented during the opening hours of the Maison du Vitrail d'Armance. Tablet rental price: €1
