Champagne Morize

Signalled by an amusing sign outside, the visitor enters the main gate into a large courtyard surrounded by attractive buildings and grounds. The estate has been in the Morize family through four generations. The large reception and tasting area oozes Baroque ambiance verging on religious, and it is also worth noting the stained-glass window featuring Saint-Vincent, patron saintof winegrowers, surrounded by three generations of Morizes, two of the churches of Les Riceys and the three winegrowing seasons.A visit to the cellar makes a grand impact, with splendid 11th and 12th century Cistercian vaults revealed as you pass throughthe great heavy door.
